Frequently asked questions
About the project
Kid AID is a multimodal system supporting the assessment of the general condition of infants and young children. It consists of a standardised data collection device (Device), an educational app (Coach) and a decision support module under development (Decision Support).
No. Kid AID does not replace the doctor and does not make autonomous clinical decisions. It is a supporting tool – it provides objective data and helps objectify observations, but the final decision always rests with the doctor.
The Kid AID project is carried out jointly by the Department of Paediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the Medical University of Wrocław and Animativ sp. z o.o. Scientific and clinical work is conducted within an implementation doctorate supervised by Prof. Leszek Szenborn. Animativ sp. z o.o. is responsible for the technological side and project management.
Research is conducted at three clinical centres: the Department of Paediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the Medical University of Wrocław (leading centre), St Hedwig of Silesia Hospital in Trzebnica, and the Specialist Hospital of Dr A. Sokołowski in Wałbrzych.
Kid AID Coach
No. Kid AID Coach is an educational tool that supplements clinical practice, not replaces it. The goal is to prepare users for more confident contact with real patients.
The beta version is planned for 2026. Medical universities can already express interest in the pilot.
Licensing details for universities are being prepared. Contact us: kontakt@kid-aid.pl
